Autumn 秋

In late autumn (banshū, 晩秋), maple foliage - momiji 紅葉 in Japanese - transforms the old capital into a serenade of yellow, orange and red. Usually from mid- to late-November, many of the gardens around the city are at their best during this season. To the right is a small best-of selection of 8 years of momiji photographing.
