Shūsuitei
拾翠亭

A small pavilion located in the south of the Imperial Palace Park, Shūsui-tei invites to sit down and enjoy the scenery of the Kujō Pond outside. While the pavilion can be rented for tea ceremony — which was also when I first visited it in 2015 — it is most beautiful in summer, when crape myrtles are in full bloom.

Admission: open every Wed–Sat (as of 2022)
Nearby places of interest: Imperial Palace Park, Rozan-ji, Nashiki Shrine, State Guest House
