Tōfuku-ji Tentoku-in
東福寺 天徳院

Tentoku-in is a sub-temple of Tōfuku-ji. Open to the public for a few weeks in late June–mid-July and autumn, Tentoku-in consists of a small moss garden from the Azuchi-Momoyama Period (1568–1600), which is most famous for the many bell flowers blooming there in summer. A bell flower-shaped window is perhaps what could be described as characteristic for this garden.

Admission: special openings in June/July and November
Nearby places of interest: Tōfuku-ji and sub-temples, Kōmyō-in
