Not to be confused with Iwaya-ji, which lies on the opposite side of the Yamashina basin, Iwaya Shrine is a small Shintō shrine on the eastern hillside of Yamashina, reachable on foot from Nagitsuji Station. As you can see, it is a nice little spot to enjoy cherry blossoms in tranquility.
