Gosausee
Gosausee (Lake Gosau) lies to the foot of Dachstein, Upper Austria's highest mountain and the Alps' easternmost glacier.
Majestetically, the Dachstein is almost symmetrically situated between high mountains to the left and right.
Circling the lake takes around one hour, but it is also possible to venture further towards the Dachstein and visit the two smaller lakes Gosaulacke and Hinterer Gosausee.
The lake is always worth taking your camera too, in particular during the months from late June to mid-September in early morning.
